Best (Favourite) Film Soundtracks of 2014

Film Soundtracks: My Top 10 of 2014

Chances are you won't agree with my selection, but these are my preferred soundtracks from the films I watched at the cinema this year. There is the possibility I missed a good one even though I watched the film, but I'm happy with the selection I've got here. Obviously, my opinion might change depending on my mood, but I'll stick to what I have here.

The scores are listed alphabetically based on the film title and I've tried to find a link to the complete soundtrack for each one. In some cases, that wasn't possible so I've just included a solitary tune.

I've also left out any discussion as to why I've placed it in the list. I think saying they're the ones I liked the most is enough. It's down to personal preference. Plus I'm a bit pushed for time.

Gone Girl - Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross

The Grand Budapest Hotel - Alexandre Desplat

Her - Arcade Fire

Interstellar - Hans Zimmer

The Imitation Game - Alexandre Desplat

Joe - Jeff McIlwain & David Wingo

Noah - Clint Mansell

The Wind Rises - Joe Hisaishi

Tracks - Garth Stevenson

Video Game Soundtracks: My Top 5 of 2014
And here is a quick mention of the video game soundtracks that appealed to me most from the past years (well, of the soundtracks I got round to listening to over the past year). If you have to listen to just one, try the 'Valiant Hearts' music. It has some pretty good tunes.

Child of Light

The Elder Scrolls Online

inFamous: Second Son

Valiant Hearts
