August 2014 - Brief Summary

Remember, my opinion is subject to change...

Best Film:

It may not be my favourite Marvel film, but this film still offers the type of entertainment you'd expect from the studio with nice visuals and plenty of humour.

Worst Film:

This was just bad.

Favourite OST:
While I may have to continue waiting for Brian Tyler to recreate something similar to his best tunes from 'Far Cry 3' (though and 'Expendables' film perhaps wouldn't be the best place to do that), I thought this score at least did the job in helping drive the film forwards. Plus I thought it was an improvement over his forgettable/irritating scores Tyler did for 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor: The Dark World'.

Worst Product Advert:
Not too much to report this month in terms of product adverts as I was abroad for most of the time and didn't frequent the cinema much. Plus, many (but not all) of the adverts I did see outside the UK were in Arabic so I had little idea what they were telling me. Still, that doesn't stop some irritating me. Such as a Pizza Hut one (which I didn't get to see in English).Or that Burger King ice cream one that felt the need to stalk me on my computer:
Yeah... that was annoying.

However, if you're looking for some advert in the UK to pick on, why not the overly pretentious BMW i8 one?:
It's not the worst thing to abuse my eyes, but I haven't got much to choose from this month.
